I found out about Scientology through my Chiropractor. He brought me to the Celebrity Centre in Hollywood and gave me a tour. The people were extremely nice. On the tour I saw that Scientology had solutions to how I could overcome any of my problems in life. I started studying the religion and applying the technology. Since then my life has been soaring upwards and I am reaching my goals and making new ones. The biggest success I have had in Scientology can be summed up in the following statement: It makes me a better person.
That is what I was looking for, how to be a better person, how to be in charge of my life, and how to help other people. Those are the things I get out of Scientology.

In 2000, Marisol did a profile with the Chicago Tribune that had the following to say in regards to scientology:

Following this timeline, Marisol Nichols has been a scientologist since 1996. At this time, Marisol would have been around 23 years old. Her acting career started at 19, trying out for a small production at her junior college, but her career skyrocketed, moving to LA not long after having secured roles in two pilots.
By 1999, someone would register the domain name marisolnichols.com. It would remain a parked domain for some time.
In 2005, marisol-nichols.com would come on line for the first time. This website, designed by Philip Johnston, would link her bio for her role on Blind Justice, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights website, and The Way to Happiness Foundation website. These last two are Scientology organizations.
By the end of 2005, the credit in the footer of marisol-nichols.com would change to reflect Philip Johnston’s actual company, Newthink.
In May 2005, Marisol helped lead the protest orchestrated by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights against the Psychiatric drugging of children and the national mental health screening of children at the annual American Psychiatric Association convention in Atlanta, GA. [source]

Criminon
Criminon (which means “no crime”) is an international non-profit public benefit corporation dedicated to addressing the causes of criminality and through effective drug detoxification, education and common sense programs restore the criminal’s self-respect thus making them responsible for their actions so that they may become ethical and productive citizens.Their goal is to break the cycle of the revolving door of incarceration with effective inmate programs that address the real underlying reasons for criminality.

In June 2007, Marisol was “in Washington D.C. at the moment working with groups of parents rights activists who are fighting for Federal reform regarding the misleading information they are getting in regards to the prescription drugs widely prescribed to millions of children, particularly in minorities. These parents have experienced first hand their children becoming, psychotic, violent and suicidal because they weren’t accurately informed of the documented side effects of these drugs.

According to an article by The Hollywood Reporter, Dr. Shuttleworth is Marisol Nichol’s mother-in-law. Marisol Nichols and Dr. Shuttleworth’s son Taron Lexton were married for approximately 10 years from 2008 to 2018 and had one daughter together.
Despite the end of their marriage, Nichols continued to work with Dr. Mary Shuttleworth for years to come.
